The NanoTherm Technical Knowledge Center
In this section, we bring together all the technical details of NanoTherm technology: technical specifications, certifications, TDS, MSDS, tests by independent laboratories, scientific results, and actual projects. It is the reference point for engineers, applicators, professionals, partners, and technical offices.
- TICS Technology – Thermal Insulating Coating System
NanoTherm technology is based on TICS, a composite energy coating system that utilizes micro-cellular nanoceramic structures for:
- extremely low thermal conductivity
- thermal stability
- hydrophobic behavior
- UV and moisture resistance
- function as an energy barrier in a thin layer (<1 mm)
- compatibility with masonry, wood, metal, and a variety of substrates The technology is being developed in Greece in collaboration with universities, laboratories, and international certification bodies.
- NanoTherm Technical Characteristics
The NanoTherm series offers consistent technical performance, such as: Thermal Performance
- Low thermal conductivity
- Reduction of heat loss
- Thermal insulation action in a thin active film
- Increased surface temperature Waterproofing – Waterproofing
- Surface hydrophobicity
- Resistance to water and moisture
- Condensation reduction
Resistance to extreme environmental conditions.
- UV resistance
- Thermal shock resistance
- Resistance to wet environments • Elasticity / absorption of small expansions Mechanical & chemical properties
- Improved adhesion
- Wear resistance
- Resistance to atmospheric corrosion
- Certifications & Standards (EN – ASTM – ISO – CE)
NanoTherm technology is based on CCoat’s international certifications, which are also officially used for NanoTherm in Greece: System Certifications
- CE – European compliance for coatings
- ISO 9001:2015 – Production & distribution quality
- ISO 29001:2020 – Oil & Gas sector quality system
- Green Star VOC Certification – Low VOC emissions
- CAM (Italy) – Environmental compliance Thermal Performance Certifications
- ASTM C518 – Thermal conductivity testing
- EN 12667 – Heat transmission properties
- White Papers – Thermal resistance modeling Fire Protection Certifications
- Certifications for wood in transparent fire protection coatings
- Fire performance tests (depending on wood category and application) (We do not assign EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0 or FRL -/90/30 to Clear Fire.)
